Arrhythmia Care
About the Service:
Since the establishment of Critical Care Medicine Department, cardiac electrophysiology (EP) has been in the core of its practice. It has 3 cath labs, one of which is dedicated to invasive EP. This lab is equipped with 3D mapping systems (Both CARTO and Ensite), ICE and rotational angiography. It performs around 500 procedures a year placing it among the highest flow centers in Egypt. This includes implantation of complex devices (like CRT-D), lead extraction, and ablation of simple and complex arrhythmia (Like AF and VT). It’s currently an approved training center for the Egyptian board of Cardiac EP. The center is the first and only center outside Europe to be accredited by the European Society of Cardiology as an European Heart Rhythm Association Recognized Training Center (ERTC).
